Segovia and Ávila Day Trip from Madrid

Are you in Madrid and want to visit Segovia and Ávila on the way? Well, now you have the best opportunity to do it with our Excursion to Segovia and Avila from Madrid. You will get to know two of the most beautiful and historic Castilian cities. Segovia is famous for its millenary Roman aqueduct and Avila for its medieval walls. Are you going to miss it?

Our first stop will be in the city of Avila, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Spain. Follow your guide on a guided tour of the old town to discover the impressive history of this city. See Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral from the Middle Ages. Visit the walls of Avila as you imagine the stories they have seen through the centuries. Marvel at the fortifications and towers, which have earned the city UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

We will continue the tour to Segovia. Upon arrival, we will be divided into different groups. If you have chosen the option of Segovia on your own, enjoy approximately three hours of free time to visit the city on your own and return with us to Madrid. If you have chosen the option with monuments, you will have approximately one hour of free time to have lunch on your own.

The rest of the group will head to the restaurant to enjoy a typical local menu with roast suckling pig that will not leave you indifferent.

After lunch, those who have chosen the excursion with monuments will meet again with the guide to start the visit of Segovia. Walk through the old Jewish quarter of the city, visit the exterior of the Cathedral and head towards the Alcázar of Segovia. At the agreed time, meet up with the rest of the group to return to Madrid if you have chosen the option on your own.

If you choose the option GASTRONOMIC LUNCH: Visit to the Alcazar and gastronomic lunch in Segovia.
