Cuenca is one of the 15 cities in Spain declared a World Heritage Site. Located in the autonomous community of Castilla La Mancha, it is divided into two parts: the new city in the lower part and, in the upper part, at more than 1000 meters above sea level, is the historic center of Cuenca.

With our free tour of Cuenca you can discover the hanging houses, which are the symbol of the city. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, they have a balcony hanging over the Huécar river sickle. Of these, only three are preserved, and one houses the Museum of Abstract Art.

To take a picture of the hanging houses, you have to go to the Puente de San Pablo. With our free tours and guides in Spanish, we will visit this construction from 1902, which was raised to replace an old stone bridge from the 16th century. Thanks to this walkway, you can cross the Huécar river and reach the Convent of San Pablo.

If Cuenca can boast of something, it is the skyscrapers that you will find in the San Martín neighborhood. Popularly known that way, they are narrow houses of great height that protrude from the same mountain; They have their entrance through Alfonso VIII street and it is one of the essential places.

Our excursions and tours will take you to the main square of Cuenca, one of the most beautiful in the city. Surrounded by buildings with colored facades, the City Hall building and the Convent of Las Petras stand out. The guided tours that we organize for you to enjoy the old part of Cuenca, goes through visiting the Cathedral of Santa María and San Julián.

In the highest part are the ruins of the castle, which previously occupied the old Arab fortress. You will enjoy wonderful views from the Castle district, with a spectacular landscape of the houses that line the hill.

About 25 km away, in the Serranía de Cuenca park, is the Ciudad Encantada. Here you will learn about the geological process of the kast and enjoy its whimsical formations. On the way to the Enchanted City, it is advisable to visit the Ventano del Diablo viewpoint, where its views of the Júcar gorge and the Sierra de Cuenca will leave you speechless.
