Enjoy a Medina Azahara by Night Tour. We will tour the site, visiting the upper terrace, where some of the Umayyad Caliphs resided, and the middle terrace, where you will find palaces, service areas and power representation scenarios such as the Eastern Portico.
Less than 10 km from Cordoba is one of the most important sites in Europe, the palatine city of Medina Azahara, built by order of the Caliph Abderramán III in the 10th century. More than 15,000 people lived there, and it was famous for its enormous luxury, its careful planning and its beautiful gardens.
This visit is ideal in the hot summer months, as it is best done in the evening when the temperatures have dropped. You will have wonderful views of the ancient Palatine City, recently illuminated since its declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018. You will enjoy the scenery in the heart of the Sierra Morena, with the lights of modern-day Cordoba in the background.
