We will learn about the history of the most famous mountain in Barcelona by visiting its beautiful gardens and marveling from its viewpoints.
We suggest a walk where you will get to know some of its most outstanding places, while we discover its origins, its link with some of the most emblematic buildings in Barcelona, the reason for its name and how it became one of the essential places in the city. Barcelona geography.
We will start the tour in the Gardens of Mossèn Costa i Llobera, where we will get to know species of cacti from all over the world, while we enjoy one of the best views from the Mount, touring the mountain and observing the sea.
We will also have a space for ancient history, going through the Montjuic Castle, an old 18th century fortress, and the remains of the old Jewish cemetery, where we will tell you how the history of this place is intermingled with iconic spaces in the center of Barcelona .
We will return to recent history to find the Olympic ring of Montjuic, a set of facilities that were part of the space where the 1992 Olympic Games took place. We will find some of the symbols of this sporting history, which is still alive on a day-to-day basis of its inhabitants.
