On this tour, we will dive into the local culture, history, secrets, legends, and curiosities of Barcelona. From the ancient Roman Barcino through the Middle Ages, the Spanish Civil War until the current cosmopolitan Barcelona.
Things to do Barcelona’s Old City Free Tour
The most interesting tour is to discover the amazing downtown area of Barcelona. Immerse yourself in the incredible history of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter from Roman times to the Middle Ages, the Spanish Civil War to today's Barcelona. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will help you dive into the local culture, history, art, and architecture in a friendly and easy-going way to enjoy at maximum in your visit. IMPORTANT: We use radio guides during our tours, which is mandatory by the city hall. It’s €1 per person. Please remember that the suggested tip at the end of the tour is between 15-30€ per person, depending on your satisfaction. If you are a group of more than 6 people, you must pay a minimum of€15 per person before the tour starts.

Hemos hecho diferentes tours en diferentes ciudades y nunca nos habíamos encontrado con una guía tan antipática (que tristeza que sea de nuestro mismo país Colombia) qué manera tan despota de recibirnos a este maravilloso país y la explicación bastante simple…. Comentarios fuera de lugar y solo interesada a que le pagáramos, si bien es cierto es un free tour y sugieren un precio por persona, es eso, sugerido!!!! No nos agradó nada el tour y si estaba exigiendo el pago completo….. la peor experiencia de nuestras vidas

We throughly enjoyed our tour, Victor our guide was very engaging and super informative. We saw so much of the old city and learned huge amount about its history and many interesting facts. Good pace was kept throughout, giving us time to take it all in but also covering lots of ground. My teenager kept her phone in her pocket and did not look at it even once- and that says it all!

El tour por Barcelona (Barrio "Gótico" y Born) con Laura fue... increíble! Súper divertida, animada, con mucho humor, llena de conocimiento y curiosidades sobre la historia de la ciudad. Un tour en que da gusto estar.
Se nota que se encanta por la ciudad (y por su trabajo cómo anfitriana de ella!) que es algo muy bonito de admirar!
Nos ha encantado un montón! Ya habíamos estado en Barcelona otras veces, pero nos garantizó un momento especial! :)

“Great Tour!”
Our tour guide( I forgot the name, but he is Italian and he mentioned he wants to come back Italy).
He was very nice and helped us understanding the many things around us, very nice explanation, we were very happy and he was always very attentive to everything.
He even has good recommendations for Coffees and Restaurants, amazing guy!
I feel a bit sad tho, we were a medium size group (9 people) and only 4 people provided him with a tip, a bit angry with that to be honest, even some people were not very interested in the tour.
I believe it would be good to always charge a bit for the tours perhaps 5€? I felt a bit bad about it, if there is. way we can provide him an extra tip we would do it.
Thanks Free tour for always bringing good quality tours, you can have a paid tour, but in my experience free tours are way better!

Mañana estupenda con Victor, muy alegre, atento, la ruta que nos ha hecho muy interessante sobretodo lo que nos explicó! Coincidimos con las fiestas de Santa Eulalia y vimos a los castellers! Un 10 de tour! Muy recomendable!
