The route will begin at 11 am in Plaça Catalunya , a strategic point in the city and the border area between the Old Town and its expansion (Eixample). Once the history that pervades the square has been explained, we will enter the Ciutat Vella district via the Rambla where we will find the Canaletas Fountain , a venue for the Blaugrana fans.
We will go down to fully enter the incredible Gothic Quarter , more specifically in the Roman Necropolis. Here we will learn about the Roman origin of the city and then arrive at the old Solé Gymnasium, where Joan Gamper and 11 other people founded the Barcelona Football Club.
Continuing through the Raval, we will enter the most visited market in the Catalan capital, the Boquería Market , another fascinating example of Modernism with more than 300 stalls offering all kinds of typical Barcelona gastronomy products. Leaving through the main entrance on La Rambla, we will find the lottery office founded by a former FC Barcelona player.
We will advance through La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter to admire buildings of great importance in the city such as the Teatro del Liceu, the Basilica of Santa María del Pi and even the Can Culleretes restaurant, which has a great football history.
To end this surprising tour, we will visit Plaza Sant Jaume, a political and popular square where the Town Hall and the Generalitat are located on both sides, from whose balcony the players and managers offered the cup to their followers.
