Basque Coast: Urdaibai, Bermeo and Gernika

Euskadi boasts a spectacular coastline, with its abrupt cliffs and an immense deep blue sea that will not cease to amaze you. Discover the most quaint fishing villages in the Basque country on our Basque Coast Day Trip: Urdaibai, Bermeo and Gernika On this tour we will visit some of the most traditional fishing villages along the Basque country. Our bilingual speaking guide will accompany us as we skirt the estuary, Bilbao river, leaving behind industrial towns such as Barakaldo, Sestao and Portugalete.  When we reach Getxo, we will be taken aback by the Hanging Bridge, the first transporter bridge that was built in the world. Do you dare go up on it? From the top walkway which is 61 metres high, you will be able enjoy spectacular panoramic views.  Be prepared to be amazed by the medieval beauty of the Butron Castle, the scene of battles between the local noble families. Our tour continues as far as the Hermitage of San Juan perched on the top of the islet of Gaztelugatxe, accessible via a narrow path of 241 steps.  Our Trip along the Basque Coast ends with a visit to the most popular towns on the Urdaibai Biosphere: Bermeo, and Mundaka, picturesque fishing villages and Gernika, famous for the Picasso´s painting.

We will return to Bilbao through the interior of Bizkaia with beautiful landscapes and arrival in the center of Bilbao around 3:00 p.m. Please note that the tour includes several walking tours.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 4 days before the service there will be a penalty of 25%, with 3 days of 50%, 2 days of 75% and 1 day or no-show on the excursion of 100%.
