Galego Pobo Museum Tour

The tour will start right at the entrance of the museum to observe the beautiful convent abandoned after the confiscation and recovered in the 70s to become the Museo do Pobo Galego and Panteón de Gallegos Ilustres.

We will start with the sea room, to get to know the typical Galician boats, we will continue to the field rooms where we will see the traditional types of cultivation in Galicia. We will continue our visit through the trade room to now get to know its people: the dairymen, the itinerant trades, the shoemakers… did you know that clogs are a very typical Galician shoe?

We continue to a particularly prominent and famous place in the museum, the triple Baroque helical staircase, a unique example of the local Baroque.

After this we will arrive at the baskets and weaving room, which was one of the most important economic activities in Galicia. Who is not familiar with the lace and the "palilleiras" of Camariñas?

Finally, we will enter the world of folklore in the rooms of traditional music and we will end by visiting the church of the old convent.
