We will start at the foot of the Almudena Cathedral, located in the oldest part of the city, where the Muslims founded the city in the 9th century. We will pass by the Royal Palace to go to the Plaza de Oriente and be surprised by one of the most unknown wonders of Madrid, the statue of Felipe IV in the Plaza de Oriente.
Then we will go towards the area of the classic Madrid de los Austrias, towards Calle Mayor where one of the most beautiful squares of old Madrid is located, the Plaza de la Villa where the oldest headquarters of the Madrid City Council is located. We will continue through the narrow streets of Madrid de los Austrias until we reach the Plaza Mayor, the square of the great public events since the 17th century and from there finish at the Puerta del Sol.

We will continue a small section along Calle de Alcalá seeing some of its iconic buildings such as the San Fernando Museum of Fine Arts, the Historic Casino or the old building of the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya to enter the Plaza de Canalejas and go in search of the candies of most famous violet in Madrid heading towards the Congress of Deputies.
Once we arrive at the Plaza de las Cortes, we will have the opportunity to meet the most famous lions in the city and their peculiar history. From there we will continue our way to Paseo del Prado to see the most iconic monumental fountains in the city, from Neptune to Cibeles, since in front of the Bank of Spain we can admire the goddess of all Madrilenians.
And we will end our tour at the entrance to the Retiro Park, in front of the Puerta de Alcalá, one of the great architectural beauties that came out of the skillful hand of Francisco de Sabatini, the royal architect of Carlos III, in the 18th century.
