English Tour Alhambra and Generalife

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, the Alhambra and the Generalife are the most important historical complex in Spain. With 2.5 million visitors a year, it is currently the most visited monument in Spain. We will take you to discover this wonder with our English Tour Alhambra and Generalife.

Former residence of the rulers of the Nasrid Dynasty since the beginning of the 13th century from where they governed around the Darro river basin: the rest of the Arab-Muslim city.

The Alhambra complex <<which means red fortress in Arabic>> was also the object of desire by the Christian Monarchs, who were surprised and captivated by its immense architectural and decorative beauty.

The grandson of the Catholic Monarchs, that is, Emperor Charles V of Habsburg, had a clearly Renaissance palace built there; where he spent his wedding night with his wife; María de Portugal, whom he left in a state of good hope for the future Felipe II of Habsburg.

In the second part of this tourist activity, we will be able to visit and contemplate the Generalife complex. An emblematic place where the Nasrid rulers recreated and enjoyed the good weather during the summer months.
