Grand Tour: Timanfaya and Jameos del Agua

Join our Grand Tour Timanfaya and Jameos del Agua and discover the impressive Janubio salt mines and Los Hervideros (cliffs where the sea boils) towards the seaside village El Golfo, also well-known as Lago Verde. We will also visit the Timanfaya National Park, where we will wander along the Islote Hilario and follow the Ruta de los Volcanes, where we will admire the special side of Lanzarote. With the company of our English speaking guide, we will begin our route towards the Canary coast and the popular village El Golfo, where we will take a stroll to the extinct crater Charco de los Clicos, a beautiful, deep and green lake. Subsequently, we will move to the south of the island, where we will definitely fall in love with the volcanic landscape composed by Los Hervideros and the Janubio salt mines.

Then, we will visit the stunning Timanfaya National Park, where you will have to choice to enjoy a funny camel ride. Then, we will follow the popular Ruta de los Volcanes (the volcanos route), where we will get impressed by the large variety of volcanic flora in the archipelago, such as the characteristic pine or the tropical fruits and the charm coming from the damages caused by the eruptions.

After, we will continue our experience through Uga towards La Geria, where we will taste the traditional wines of Lanzarote. We will arrive to the Monumento al Campesino, one of the César Manrique’s most important works and witness the sand areas known as Jable.

Finally, we will continue towards another essential stop in our tour: Jameos del Agua. These green caves were originated by the collapse of a volcanic tube. Some of them reach up to 6km of length.

Come explore every special place in the island, visit the Valle de las Mil Palmeras or the village of Haría and meet the friendly blind crabs, an endemic specie located in this area.
