Patios of Cordoba and Alcázar Viejo Free Tour

The Patios of Cordoba Tour will take you to the main enclaves where this colourful festival is celebrated every May. As our journey starts, you will enjoy this symphony of colour and smell of flowers at any time of the year and we will go into three of the most representative patios of this event that participate in the official contest. The English of Cordoba Festival is considered a traditional contest since 1921, when it was approved the idea of rewarding the neighbouring patios with a better care, dedication and attention of decoration. From that moment, it has gained more and more importance until it became a festival declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2012.

As we continue our Patios of Cordoba Tour, our english speaking guide will explain each contest modality in terms of old and renovated architecture, and will tell us the interesting stories and legends of the most picturesque neighbourhoods where the popular Patios of Cordoba are located.

In addition, we will have the chance to enjoy a nice conversation with the owners of the houses, who live there and take care of the patios, and we can ask them some questions about the maintenance and care of the flowers. See you there!

From July 13 to September 15, we will carry out a special free tour of summer patios, where we will visit 2 exclusive patios during these dates. The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We can also enjoy the San Basilio neighborhood and the surroundings of the old Alcázar Viejo.
