Embark on this fascinating adventure on our free night tour through the great Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Discover the history of Barcelona while admiring its beautiful night illumination.
Things to do Free Tour Barcelona by Night: Gothic Quarter
We will walk along d'Estruc, the most magical street of the city. We will learn the fascinating history of the sorcerers and astrologers who marked a before and after in the town, as well as the symbols related to witchcraft that are kept alive in the streets of Barcelona. Afterwards, we will visit Els Quatre Gats, an iconic modernist café that used to be a meeting point for prominent artists. We will visit the Mural of the Kiss, a work of urban art that captures the love and romance that the city has in each of its corners and we will contemplate the monument to the Castellers in the Plaza de San Miguel. We will pass by the Basilica of Santa Maria de la Pi and Carrer Petritxol, famous for its chocolate shops and art galleries. In the final stretch, we will enter Las Ramblas until we reach the Gran Teatro del Liceo, one of the most prestigious opera houses in Europe. After two hours of sightseeing, we will conclude this free night tour in Plaza Real. - If you do not arrive on time, your seats may be taken by other visitors. - This free tour is not possible if you are a group of more than 6 people. In that case, we recommend you to book a private tour.

“Tour of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter & Catalonian History”
Nicholas was a most excellent guide. He was fun and very passionate about Barcelona's Gothic Quarter's storied history. We started near Plaça de Catalunya down Carrer d'Estruc commemorating the magical tale of Astruc Sacanera, a wizardly healer of the 15th century. We continued around the maze of streets passing Picasso's and other artist hangs, Roman aqueducts, ancient Cathedrals still standing, Gothic vs. Neo Gothic styles, and several other stops with a novel story behind each. A little bit of art history, a little bit of architecture, lots of folklore and many memorable moments were shared. Nicholas pulled back the curtain on a city center rich with mystic legend and stunning sights. I couldn't have learned more in a book than what I took away in those 2 hours. EXCELLENT storytelling by Nicholas. Highly recommended!

“Tour canceled by guide at show time”
I was looking forward to this tour and planned my late afternoon and evening around it - including a rushed dinner to arrive on time. Andres checked me in and asked me to wait; 20 minutes later he told me I was the only one to show up and, because of that, I could either pay for a private tour or try again another time. I know that Andres was inconvenienced by the no-shows also, and he was out on money on top of that, but my time in Barcelona was limited and this was a big letdown. There was nothing in the confirmation or tour description explaining that this could happen either.

We had been to Barcelona several times before, but never spent time in the Gothic Quarter. Our guide, Diego, was fantastic. He balanced the time walking with stops to explain information about what we were seeing and about to see. He was happy to answer questions along the way and stayed after the group had left to answer even more questions. He referred us to a gelato shop that was off the beaten path and we ran into him again as we finished our gelato. A wonderful introduction to the city as well as a way to expand your knowledge of Barcelona.

“Night Tour in Gothic Quarter ”
My mother, sister, daughter and I loved this tour. Andres is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The history of Barcelona is very interesting and we visited during the National Day of Catalonia so even more special.
Andres recommended some locally owned restaurants to experience the local culture.

“El mejor tour que hice”
Monica de verdad, es excelente! Muy ameno el tour, con gadjets para escuchar sin perdernos una sola palabra, ella es muy cálida y sabe mucho de temas variados, ojalá tenga la oportunidad de cruzarmela en algún otro recorrido, porque además del guiado en si, te da muchos consejos de sitios para cenar, lugares donde ir a conocer, etc!! 10 pintospara Monica
