Things to do The Unknown Rambla: Free Tour of Barcelona
We will wander between La Rambla del Raval and La Rambla, one of the most emblematic arteries of the city, to understand the transformation of Barcelona after the disentailment of convents and ecclesiastical properties in the nineteenth century, and how it affected the social dynamics of the time.
During this guided tour, we will explore the vestiges, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden, of monasteries, churches, and buildings debated between the progress and spirituality of the time. We will discover how the emerging bourgeoisie took the reins of public space and modified not only land ownership but also the very heart of Barcelona.
We will walk through a place that was a frontier, a market, a convent, a bourgeois scene, and an urban center. You will discover from the most emblematic corners to those lesser-known spaces that hold centuries of history.

“Great tour”
Friendly and knowledgeable guide, Alejandra, took us to all the interesting and off the beaten parts of the Rambla. Eating lunch (of Seafood & shellfish) in the market was unexpected and great.

“ A Perfect Tour with Alessia – Rambla Desconocida”
Our 'Rambla Desconocida' tour with Alessia was amazing! She’s super knowledgeable, kind, and approachable, and shared so many interesting facts and stories along the way. Everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly from start to finish—absolutely no issues at all. It was a thoughtful and well-paced experience. I’d 100% recommend her and would definitely book another tour with her!
