Itinerary
We leave from the Plaza de los Leones to start the visit on foot knowing the history of Imilce the Iberian princess, wife of Hannibal, the Carthaginian conqueror. We will see the Old Butchers, the Civil Court and the Jaén gate and the Villalar Arch. We cross the line of the wall and enter the historic center, the scene of a lot of spanish films . We continue towards the Old University of Baeza, to learn about the history of many of the great personalities who passed through it and we will visit the Antonio Machado Classroom, the Paraninfo and the cloister. From here we go to the Romanesque church of Santa Cruz, which gives its name to the square, and opposite the imposing Palace of Jabalquinto.
We continue towards the Plaza de Santa María, where we will see the famous Santa María Fountain and the meeting there of Lorca and Machado, the Seminary of San Felipe Neri and the Town Hall and we will enter the Cathedral of Baeza to learn about its history and mysteries.
