Do you want to get away from the stress of the city? And breathe fresh air, on this excursion along the Western Coast of Cantabria, while you admire beaches, cliffs and cobbled streets, you will discover incredible places where history seems to have stopped.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 9:20 a.m., we will pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Santander or Torrelavega to begin this excursion to the West Coast of Cantabria.
The first stop of the day will be in San Vicente de la Barquera, a fishing village that stands out for the estuaries, beaches, dunes and cliffs that surround it. Did you know that this town is in the heart of the Oyambre Natural Park?
Afterward, we will go to Comillas, the only town of modernist influence in Cantabria. We will visit the patrimonial complex formed by the Palace and the Sobrellano Chapel, the Casa del Duque and the Pontifical University and we will reveal all its history to you.
In addition, we will leave you free time so that you can explore this town at your leisure. During this time, you can visit Gaudí's Capricho on your own, an amazing building that captivates with its bright colors and curious shapes.
The excursion along the West Coast will also take us to Santillana del Mar, famous for its medieval buildings, its cobbled streets and the collegiate church of Santa Juliana. You will be struck by its medieval architectural complex with its towers, mansions and palaces. Here, we will leave you approximately an hour and a half free so that you can eat.
As a final touch, we will enter the Altamira Museum and its Neocave, a reconstruction of the prehistoric paintings of the original cave that was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. A true journey back in time to the primeval age of the human being.
We will end the excursion by dropping you off at the pick-up point between 5:30 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.
