The Palace was built in the early 19th century for the Spanish royal family and financed by popular subscription. Its location on the stunning Magdalena peninsula could not be better. The views over the beaches of El Sardinero, the island of Mouro and the Bay of Biscay are simply breathtaking. During the high season, there is a short guided tour of the exterior of the palace and its surroundings, where you can learn about its fascinating history.

As the train returns every 15-20 minutes, you can leisurely enjoy the charms of the palace and the peninsula before returning to the first stop. On the way down, the train passes three spectacular galleons at the Man And Sea Museum and the mini-zoo.
