Feel the magic of the Sanctuary of Loyola and its spectacular Basilica. We will also go to the coast through Azpeitia to Getaria and San Sebastián. A sea and mountain tour that will not leave you indifferent.
Sanctuary of Loyola, Getaria and Zarauz Day Trip begins the tour at 08:40 in the morning from the center of Bilbao to head directly along the highway towards the interior of Guipúzcoa, passing through Eibar, Elgoibar, Azkoitia and Loyola.
In Loyola we will stop to visit its Sanctuary of harmonious proportions, built between the 17th and 18th centuries, where we can visit the spectacular Basilica and see the tower house where Saint Ignatius was born.
We will continue our journey passing through Azpeitia, and leaving towards the coast through Zumaia, we will skirt it until we reach Getaria. We will have free time to visit this beautiful fishing village, located on the side of a very fertile mountain, with its Arch of Catrapona, a medieval passageway below the Church with a chapel for sailors, the Parish Church of San Salvador (15th century), which is a jewel of Gothic art, its fishing port, its narrow streets and its typical bars and restaurants.
Then we will continue our trip to Zarauz, the most traditional enclave and tourist reference since the 19th century. Later we arrived at San Sebastián. In this beautiful city we will carry out a very complete panoramic tour to be able to appreciate all its promenades, La Concha beach and go up to Igueldo that dominates the entire bay. Then another walking tour of the Casco Viejo. Here we will have free time for lunch and our guide will inform you of various possibilities of restaurants and selected menus so that you can choose the one that most appeals to you.
To end our Sanctuary of Loyola, Getaria and Zarauz Day Trip, we return along the highway with magnificent views to reach the center of Bilbao in the middle of the afternoon.
