Things to do Culture Tour in Valencia
We visit the traditional side of the city. Our start takes place at the Nord Train Station with a detailed introduction of the Art Nouveau construction. We explain the old buildings and their history, the Town Hall, Post Office building and the upper side of the square. We also show pictures about the former aspect of this square. Don't forget this is the epicenter of the city and lots of events cultural, musical and gastronomical take place here every year. From here on, we move to the Central Market, another Art Nouveau example in front of the Old Silk market (belongs to UNESCO List). Walking through the narrow streets of El Carmen area we find the Queen Square and Virgin Square. The Cathedral with the 3 art style gates (romantic, gothic and baroque) and the Virgin Basilica make from the Virgin Square a must for the social network's followers. The Serranos Towers, the Old Turia river and its bridges explain to us the evolution of the city. After visiting the Baroque façade of Marques de Dos Aguas Palace, the visitor can go shopping at the Poeta Querol, Don Juan de Austria and Colon streets, finishing our walk at the Art Nouveau Colon Market in the very center of Valencia.

“Valencia erleben mit Enrique”
Wir hatte das Vergnügen, an einer Stadtführung mit Enrique in Valencia teilzunehmen. Unsere Gruppe war klein, was es Enrique, unserem Stadtführer, ermöglichte, auf jeden von uns individuell einzugehen und eine persönliche Atmosphäre zu schaffen.
Enrique war ein äußerst kompetenter und leidenschaftlicher Stadtführer. Sein Wissen über die Stadt und ihre Traditionen war beeindruckend. Er erzählte uns nicht nur von den historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten Valencias, sondern auch von den lebendigen Bräuchen und dem kulturellen Erbe, das diese Stadt so einzigartig macht. Besonders spannend war es, die Stadt während der Fallas zu erkunden, dem spektakulären Frühjahrsfest, das zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. Enrique erklärte uns die Hintergründe und Traditionen dieses Festivals, und seine Begeisterung war ansteckend.Die Führung war nicht nur informativ, sondern auch unterhaltsam. Enrique schaffte es, die Geschichte Valencias lebendig werden zu lassen. Ich kann die Tour jedem empfehlen, der die Stadt besser kennenlernen möchte – egal, ob man zum ersten Mal hier ist oder bereits öfter in Valencia war. Vielen Dank Enrique.

“Didn’t love the concept of this tour”
This tour is too ambitious trying to cover L’Eixample and the Centro Histórico and ends up giving neither its due (plus, the walk back, essentially from Torre Serrano to Mercat Colón is a long one). It would better if this was just in charming, bougie L’Eixample and then Freetour encouraged visitors to do both this one and the Historc Center Tour separately.

“Großartige Tour durchs schöne Valencia”
Ein gut gelaunter Guide mit ganz viel Know-how, der toll auf seine Gäste eingeht - was will man mehr.
Wir hatten gestern eine Altstadtführung mit Enrique, der uns die schöne Stadt Valencia, mit all seinen Geschichten und Legenden, den schönen Bauwerken, Museen und eindrucksvollen Gebäuden näherbrachte. Er erzählte von den Valencianern, ihren Sitten, Traditionen und Bräuchen, dem großen Volksfest, den Fallas und zeigte alte Bilder, Fotos bzw Karten, so dass wir am Ende der Führung die Stadt als ein ganzes verstehen konnten. “Enrique knows his stuff”
Enrique is a decent, knowledgeable guy who speaks a ton of languages. We booked the tour in english but he spontaneously offered it to us in german. language level was excellent. we had the tour on 31.12. - it turned out to be a private tour. he put extra effort in it ????. Enrique gives insights and shows pictures if venues are closed so you do not miss out on anything.
It was a super end of 2021 thank you! Happy New Year ????
