Things to do The Thermal Springs of Montanejos

Montanejos is located in the interior of the Valencian Community, about 1 hour and 15 minutes of driving from Valencia. We will start the tour with a coffee in a local bar. After that, we will start hiking, walking through the village, and heading down towards the Maimona River. After following the river for about 1.5 kilometers, we will start the ascent. Luckily, the ascent is quite short, and it will take us to one of Montanejos's attractions: la Cueva Negra. This is one of the biggest caves in Valencia, and we will get to explore it, as there is an easy path going through the cave. After visiting the cave, we will continue hiking and soon get back down to the Maimona River. Here, we will explore the impressive canyon made by the river. The canyon is called "Estrechos de Chillapajaros," and as the name suggests, there are lots of birds chirping and flying around. A short walk from the canyon will take us to the main attraction, the swimming spot Fuente de los Baños. We will make a longer stop here to enjoy swimming in thermal waters and exploring this wonderful natural spot. A short walk back from Fuente de los Baños, and we will be back in Montanejos.
