Sierra Nevada 2 Days Winter Journey

This Sierra Nevada 2 Days Journey invites you to discover the most spectacular places in Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada, with the aid of snow rackets.

Our journey starts in Lugros, where a 4x4 car will take us to the shelter located in Postero Alto. After sleeping and having a strong breakfast, we will start our climbing up the hill towards Piedra de los Ladrones. From there, we will walk to Puntal de Juntillas, one of the highest peaks which reaches about 3146 metres high; Picón de Jeres, about 3088 metres high, and Cerro Pelado, located over 3182 metres high. Finally, we will go back to the same shelter.

On the second day, we will take the Sulayr path towards Piedra de los Soldados, where we will witness the impressive views of Picón de Jeres, Tajos Negros de Covatillas and Lavaderos de la Reina. Later, we will get immersed in the spectacular Dehesa del Camarate, one of the most precious botanical jewels in Spain, and we will go down to our meeting point.

This Sierra Nevada 2 Days Journey will show you the purest essence of nature and the most amazing peaks of Sierra Nevada. This route is subject to possible changes due to weather and the visitors’ physical conditions.
