MUSEUM ROUTE

The visit begins at thel Museum, which preserves archaeological, ethnological, painting and sculpture objects. The selection made, which includes 1,446 of the most representative pieces, tries to give the visitor a clear vision of the whole of Segovia's past. The exhibition is distributed in six rooms around the courtyard, where pieces from all periods are also on display.

The next point of the tour is the Alcazar, its image has gone around the world, a unique castle with the appearance of a fairy-tale palace, which brings together architectural tastes of different monarchs and tells palatial stories to all those who come to know it. Austere, as were the Castilian kings, raised on the rock at the confluence of the Eresma and Clamores valleys, it seems to guard the city. Its beautiful Torre del Homenaje, often compared to the prow of a ship sailing between rivers, is breathtakingly beautiful. 

Finally we visit the Cathedral of Segovia, known as the "Lady of Cathedrals" stands at the highest point of the city. Its impressive height fills the Cathedral with light that makes the magnificent set of stained glass windows shine, its chapels, cloister and museum rooms complete an unforgettable visit to the temple.
