At 9:30 a.m. we will meet in front of the church of Santa Eulalia in Palma de Mallorca. From there, we will embark on a route through the most traditional shops of the city. First we will visit Bar Plata, an emblematic place in the Balearic capital. Here the most typical are its famous sandwiches accompanied by a good morning coffee. Can you think of a better way to start the route? Next, we will enter the La Industrial toy store. In this place founded in 1929 we can find toys worthy of collectors. Then we will go to La Pajarita chocolate shop and grocery store, an establishment that opened its doors in the 19th century and is famous for its exclusive products.
We will walk to the Fornet de la Soca oven, where its master pastry chef Tomeu Arbona will explain some secrets of his recipes and how the idea of this business came about. Later we will arrive at the Forn de la Glòria to learn the ins and outs of bread and the most exquisite sweets. Legend has it that this workshop already existed in the times of King Jaime II. Is it true?
