Our free tour of Murcia begins in front of the most iconic building in the city: The Cathedral of Santa María. Its impressive facade is an invitation to get to know it better, and thus be surprised by the wonderful superposition of styles. And this is just the beginning!
Our steps will take us to the next stop: the Mercado de Correos, a gastromarket located in the old post office building of the city. It is a good occasion to talk about Murcian gastronomy, right? We will discover the "marinera", the "marriage", the paparajotes... and we will give you a lot of recommendations in the city to enjoy tapas.
Speaking of tapas, we will arrive at the Plaza de Santa Eulalia, an area with a great atmosphere of restaurants and where one of the medieval access gates to the city was located. Our guided tour will be like a walk through time that will take us to the Convent of Santa Clara, the palace of Muslim emirs in the past and where we can admire the impressive Arab patio, a beautiful witness to the splendor of Muslim culture in the city!
We'll stroll through the streets to breathe in the atmosphere of the city until we reach the Romea Theatre, the Almudí Palace and the Plaza de las Flores, an authentic gastronomic area.
The guided tour would not be complete without approaching the Glorieta España, in front of the Town Hall. We will walk through its garden to enjoy the pleasant sound of the water from its fountains and the color of its flowers.
We will return to Plaza Cardenal Belluga to end the free tour, with the feeling of getting to know a wonderful city.
