Recientemente tomamos un tour que resultó ser una decepción. Nos cobraron 35 euros entre dos personas, cuando antes la contribución era voluntaria. Además, la guía estableció una tarifa fija de entre 15 y 20 euros por persona, lo cual nos pareció poco ético, ya que dejó de ser voluntario y se volvió obligatorio. Por otro lado, el contenido del tour fue bastante regular, poco interesante y definitivamente no justificó el precio pagado.

“The guide ruined the tour”
Really disappointed by this experience. The was guide Javier and at the start of the tour he bullied us into agreeing to pay his preferred amount for the tour 'because it wasn't worth his time otherwise'. I felt I had no choice to pay what he wanted, otherwise he wasn't going to run the tour. There were only three of us on the tour, and I don't think the others were expecting this bluntness either. I understand a small group is going to bring in less tips than a bigger group, but that's the risk he takes as a tip based guide (especially in winter). Apparently there were more people that booked that didn't show up, would he still have bullied us in to paying the same?? The tour was fine, however there were three instances where Javier's facts were incorrect - this was just information that I knew, but how many of his other facts were incorrect!?!

I just arrived the previous evening in Madrid so the walking tour is the first thing I decided to do to get some information about the city and history. Paula was a great guide. She gave us a lot of information about the places and its history and had a great energy! She gave us recommendations for food places and we were provided with a list of free museums and recommended restaurants as well in the end. I have loved nearly all of my free tours over the years but this was superb, Javier was both fun and knowledgeable. You could certainly tell he was an actor who loved performing in front of his audience. Perhaps the highlight was being taken around parts of the city centre that I would have missed just walking about aimlessly. Definitely a tour to do if in Madrid,

“Great time with Felix in Winter Madrid”
Even though it was very cold we had a good tour with Felix, starting from Puerta del sol. We were provided a listening device, clean and organized, simple to wear, no issues. The tour was very history based, supported by pictures. Very clear English, everything was easy to understand and we were able to clear many questions on the go

“Madrid city tour”
We have done many walkings tours, Charlotte our tour guide was very friendly and appraochable. Very knowledgeable and organised, she built great report with her audience and had a book which had pictures to help illustrate the history and buildings along the way of the tour. We had great fun, learnt lots about Madrid and loved some of the traditions and culture we learned about. Thank you for making our second day in Madrid a memorable one. We will be coming back again ☺️
