Discover all the Treasures that the North of Lanzarote hides in our guided excursion and with the help of an official guide!
Once everyone is on board, we start our excursion with a visit to the Monumento al Campesino, the work of César Manrique and a tribute to the work in the fields of the Lanzarote farming community. After visiting the Monumento al Campesino, we continue our excursion through the north of Lanzarote and the former home of Omar Sharif, known today as LagOmar, welcomes us. LagOmar is probably one of the most impressive houses you will see in the north of Lanzarote. It was in this house that the actor fell in love with this remote part of the island of Lanzarote. In LagOmar they have managed to combine nature and architecture: a perfect fusion of colours between the black and reddish tones of the volcanic island of Lanzarote and the white of the island's architecture. You will feel as if you were in the fairy tale of "The Thousand and One Nights", located in the village of Nazareth.
We continue our excursion in the direction of the village of Haría, also known as the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees, where we will make a stop to recharge our batteries (lunch not included in the price). After lunch, the route takes us to one of the most northern points of Lanzarote where we visit El Mirador del Rio, to enjoy the beautiful views of the Chinijo archipelago (Montaña Clara, Alegranza and the island of La Graciosa).
The volcanic nature of Lanzarote, always present in the work of César Manrique, we discover it in all its splendour during the visit to Cueva de los Verdes: the longest lava tunnel in the world. This work of César Manrique gives the sensation of entering the interior of Mother Earth, leaving unique and unforgettable sensations for all those who enter the cave. The curious thing about this tunnel lies in its natural origin, the result of lava (eruptions of the Corona volcano).
A visit to the beautiful Cactus Garden, the last open work of César Manrique, where he manages to maintain the combination of art and nature, is a must. In the 5,000 m2 of this Tourist Centre we will find around 7,200 specimens of more than 1,100 different species of cactus.
