Things to do Tlaquepaque: A Colorful Artistic Expression

With its music, crafts, and traditions, Tlaquepaque reveals one of the most representative facets of Jalisco’s culture. This “Pueblo Mágico” invites you to stroll through its festive streets and discover the art and cultural expressions that have shaped its identity over time. This walking tour begins in downtown Guadalajara, from where we’ll take public transportation to the heart of Tlaquepaque. Upon arrival, we’ll visit El Parián, recognized as the country’s largest cantina and a symbol of tequila, mariachis, and celebration. We’ll walk through the town’s streets while exploring its colonial past and its deep connection to sculpture and pottery. The tour includes visits to various galleries, featuring everything from sacred art to contemporary Mexican art, reflecting the local creative spirit. The experience concludes at a traditional sweets workshop, where you can cool off and sample some of the region’s typical specialties. A tour to experience the art, music, and flavors that define Tlaquepaque. We recommend bringing 10 MXN in coins for a short ride on public transportation.
