At the indicated time the tour meets in plaza de Bib-Rambla to begin a two hour exploration of Granada, a city with long history both Christian and Muslim, with the sweet smell of incense wafting around every corner and the sounds of flamenco drifting through the streets. From the "Fountain of the Giants" which can be found in the square, we'll lead you round the Granada Cathedral, the old silk market (or Alcaicería as it was known in the Emirate of Granada) and the Royal Chapel, where the bodies of Spanish Monarchs Isabel I and Ferdinand II still lie. The tour will immerse you in the very soul of Granada, with its unique atmosphere easy to feel in the streets, squares and buildings with gothic and renaissance touches. And you'll feel transported back to the time of Muslim rule on our tour around Albaicín with its narrow winding streets dating back to the time of the Nasrid Kingdom. Our free tour of Granada finally ends in Plaza de Santa Ana.

Carolina was very kind and attentive and made this rainy afternoon worthwhile. There were interesting facts that we didn't know. However, I wish we could do more walking and more funny talk instead of old historical facts. We had one participant who had to stop at some point because of breathing problems due to the steep path. The steep path wasn't a problem for us at all, but good footwear and good physical fitness are necessary.

My friend and I thought this tour sounded interesting, different than some of the others offered. We saw areas of town we may not have seen on our own. We both had a great time and learned a lot. I agree with other comments I see in reviews, the cookies from the monastery were good and how they are purchased from a spinning cupboard was interesting!
Definitely recommend, Marta was a great guide. Wear good shoes, lots of hills and cobblestones!

We were visiting Granada for only two days and decided to give it a try for this free tour. What a fabulous decision! We were lucky to have Marta as our tour guide, very knowledgeable, very friendly girl. The tour lasted two full hours and was full of surprises! Marta treated us with famous nun’s cookies, took us to the best view points of Alhambra and told us so much about the history of this gorgeous city! Highly, highly recommend this tour, and maybe you can get lucky and get Marta as your tour guide!

Marta was absolutely fabulous. I usually try to book a free/tip-based for at the beginning of trips to familiarize myself with the cities I’m staying in, and Marta was so warm and easy going, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, patient and efficient. We saw so many points in the area, learned about the history, and got suggestions for around town, which proved to be incredibly helpful and accurate. I’m coming back with friends in a few weeks, and will try to book another tour with her again.

No tuvimos la oportunidad de poder hacer la excursión porque no había las personas necesarias. No entiendo porque se llama free tour si te dicen lo que hay que pagar si quieres tener el servicio cuando no hay otras personas, se ofrece poca disponibilidad para poder hacer el tour y luego nos cancelan el evento a una hora antes de empezar. Poco contento con este trato al público, las cosas o se hacen bien o sino mejor no hacerlas.

Desafortunadamente el tour fue cancelado dos veces y no pudo realizarse. Primero enviaron un mensaje diciendo que no tenían suficientes participantes así que propusieron unirse al grupo del día siguiente. Pero después también el del día siguiente lo cancelaron por la misma razón y otra vez ofrecieron pasarlo para el siguiente grupo de la noche, si habían suficientes personas. Ya con 2 movimientos no fue posible seguir intentando. Mala organización esta vez.

She took us to some marvelous viewpoints, bought cookies for us from the nun's window, gave the group numerous suggestions for food, flamenco, places to visit, such as additional public Carmen's.i feel more confident now to venture out on my own. Highly recommend her tour.

“Everything one could ask for”
Mum and I chose to join the imprescindinble tour and were planning on doing a second tour concerning other parts of the city like Albaicín. After a few marvelous hours with our guide Marta we no longer feel the need to. We‘ve learned so much about the history of the entire city including Alhambra and got so many recommendations - we could’t have asked for more. Marta really did a fantastic job making history and facts fun and she made everyone feel included and happy to be there. Thank you, Marta! ????????

“Fantastic tour with Juliette”
We had a wonderful moment during the tour with Juliette. It has been the best tour we had during our travel across Andalousia. She shared priceless details about history of Granada. We learnt so much in 3 hours. Highly recommended, you won’t get bored. Juliette is an amazing guide!

I can highly recommend this tour! Martha is a fantastic and very friendly tour guide who has a wide knowledge about Granada and its history. She took lots of time (3h) to show us around the old town and explained us many things in an interesting and fascinating way. The information was not only on historical facts but also on everything you have to know about Granada and its people nowadays. I will definitely book another tour with her if I ever come back one day.
