Then we’ll dive into Mudejar architecture, entering a monastery where a surprising story reveals how the last Muslim kingdom in Europe came to an end. We’ll continue among Granada’s iconic Cármenes, those garden-houses that stole hearts for centuries, even Bill Clinton, who declared Granada had the most beautiful sunset in the world. Finally, we’ll reach Sacromonte, where we’ll explore the history and present life of the Roma community. Here you’ll understand how flamenco was born in Andalucía as a cry for dignity, and you’ll even have the chance to enter a real cave home. The guide was amazing i was late for 15-30 mins but he shared with us live loaction he was so kind and offer us a granada cookie but i do recommend to make it a bit easier since albayzin needs climibing and to add more history to the content to make it more enjoyable but we had a great time and enjoyed it

The tour of Miguel was very good. He is enthousiastic and friendly. He gave a lot of information about the history, flamenco and during the tour you can feel his love for Spain and flamenco. The extra things like the foto, his friend the flamenco singer etc. makes the tour worthwile. Lo que más me impactó del tour fue la historia personal de Miguel. Te cuenta cosas de su vida en su ciudad natal, donde el flamenco se vive casi como una religión, y eso te hace conectar mucho más con lo que explica.
Me hizo ver el flamenco de otra forma: como la voz de un pueblo que durante siglos fue despreciado, y que encontró en esta música una forma de ganarse el respeto de toda España. No es solo un tour, es una lección de vida contada con mucha pasión. Muy recomendable!!

“An experience that stirred my soul”
I’ve done plenty of free tours around Europe, but none has touched me as deeply as this one in Granada with Miguel. He’s not your typical guide who rattles off dates and facts like reading a brochure. This guy speaks from the heart… and he stirs yours.
During the tour, I understood for the first time that flamenco wasn’t born to entertain—it was born to survive. Gypsies, Moors, enslaved Africans, and poor Andalusians… all these groups shared the pain of being cast out, looked down upon, and instead of giving up, they turned that pain into art. They cried through song. And that’s exactly what Miguel makes you feel on every corner of the Albaicín and Sacromonte.
I don’t know if it was the way he told the stories, the look in his eyes when he spoke of suffering, or that raw passion you just can’t fake… but I left the tour with a lump in my throat and my heart wide open.
If you come to Granada and want to understand flamenco as a flame born from pain, don’t miss this tour.

I've been living in Jerez for a few months now, and during a visit to Granada I joined the tour with Miguelón. I have to say, it was one of the most complete and enriching experiences I've had in Andalusia.

Por fin entendí lo que el flamenco realmente significa.
Soy de Rusia y vivo desde hace un tiempo en el Albaicín. Siempre he sentido curiosidad por el flamenco. Algunos amigos aficionados me habían dicho que era algo más que música, que había una emoción muy profunda detrás… pero no lograba entenderlo del todo.
Busqué diferentes tours en Granada que hablaran sobre flamenco, pero la mayoría se centraban solo en espectáculos o explicaciones muy superficiales. Hasta que encontré El Alma del Flamenco con Miguelón.
Durante el tour, me di cuenta de que todo lo que intuía era cierto: el flamenco nace del dolor, de la injusticia, de la necesidad de expresar lo que no se podía decir de otra forma. Y lo mejor fue cómo Miguelón lo explicó: sin tecnicismos, de forma sencilla, con ejemplos claros, y sobre todo, con mucha pasión.
Ahora cada vez que escucho flamenco, ya no escucho solo música… entiendo lo que hay detrás.

Una experiencia que todo viajero debería vivir en Granada
Hice el tour El Alma del Flamenco con Miguelón junto a una amiga, y salimos impresionadas. No es el típico tour turístico que te cuenta datos sueltos sin más… Miguelón transmite de una forma única el origen real del flamenco, desde el dolor y la injusticia social que lo vio nacer, hasta cómo ha evolucionado hasta convertirse en el arte que conocemos hoy.
No solo aprendes historia, entiendes el porqué del flamenco, lo sientes y lo valoras de otra manera.
El recorrido por el Albaicín es precioso, con unas vistas que ni sabíamos que existían (y eso que yo soy de Granada). Pero lo que realmente nos sorprendió fue la parada en el Monasterio de Isabel la Real. Una sorpresa muy especial que Miguelón nos tenía preparada y que ninguna de las dos esperaba. Fue un momentazo.
Si buscas una experiencia cultural diferente en Granada, auténtica y contada con pasión de verdad, este tour merece muchísimo la pena. No es solo para amantes del flamenco, es para cualquiera que quiera conectar con la esencia de Andalucía.
