Really enjoyed our tour. It was called hidden gems, and they were. We went back to many of the places he took us to. The synagogue, the university courtyard, we found the garden patios. Jose knows the place very well. The cherry on the cake: Besides doing a good job at what one expects from a local guide, he makes it a point to relate Spain's current cuisine to the country's history. Very original. At each location, he introduces a dish linked to the place. Unfortunately, I failed to taste all of them. He also recommends places to eat and, thus, I ate bocadillos in a place far from any tourist trap.

“Rainy evening but still worth it!”
Small group looking into some hidden corners. We have visited Cordoba before and did another tour earlier in the day but we still saw plenty that was interesting and new to us. We started at 1730 so some of the tour was in the dark but this did not detract from the enjoyability. We also had light rain but it still felt quite warm so no problem.
Our guide was lovely, knowledgeable and helped us understand a little more of this gorgeous city.

“Nice atmosphere and good tips”
We started in small group of just 4 people, but our guide didn't have a problem with it, which is nice :). He knew the city quite well and had a calm energy while explaining and leading a group. Compared to my other guide on free tour in Granada, I missed more questions or fun energy from him, but it didn't effect my experience a lot :). Although I would recommend him to work more on his english pronouciation, because sometimes I was a bit confused when I heard about ,,christian charge", when it was a ,,church" :D. He made up for this with his visual materials and recommendations about local food and working website of best restaurants in area connected to Google Maps. That's really helpful :)
Overall my tour was possitive and I became much more familiar with streets of Cordoba :)

Jose is a fantastic tour guide - he relates the history of Cordoba in a very interesting and passionate manner. Jose is very knowledgeable and even has a university degree in history???? We were taken to many hidden gems with fascinating stories. Jose showed us many photos that helped explain the history and also photos of traditional foods with detailed explanations.. Even though we had already taken several other walking tours in Cordoba, Jose brought us to many new interesting places. The other participants did not show for the tour, but Jose took just the two of us any way on a private tour - how very commendable????. We highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Jose..

“Very well composed, engaging tour”
Our guide today, José, obviously has a very profound knowledge of Cordoba and its amazing history. He has honed this knowledge so to keep participants engaged and he has interspersed his story with references to the history of food and recipes of the peoples that lived and live in Cordoba, even back to the Romans. I found my self interested from start to the inevitable end of the tour. He had a good pace, his English was excellent (with a charming Spanish accent that kept me engaged too), he was relaxed and did very well with keeping us ducks in a row. Would highly recommend.

“Free tour hidden gems of Cordoba”
We really enjoyed this tour. Jose was very knowledgeable and kind and had a deep knowledge of the history of Cordoba. He showed us some of the less touristic, but interesting spots. We really enjoyed the focus on the gastronomic history and Jose’s recommendations for restaurants in Cordoba we’re very useful. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic two hour tour with Jose. He was incredibly knowledgable and informative and his tour was an excellent way to get to see some of Cordoba’s most important historical sites. “Useful and interesting”
José took us through less crowded places and told us a lot about the history of Cordoba. He knows a lot about the foundation of local meals and in the end shared his tips on local restaurants and bars. Sometimes there were more historic details than we'd expect. Due to his spanish accent you'd need to focus well from time to time to understand.

Nuestro guía José nos llevó de forma muy interesante y entretenida por la historia de la ciudad de Córdoba y la correlación que existe con su deliciosa gastronomía.
