I´m a teacher who has been living and working in old two Cadiz for more than 8 years. I´d love to share what I know about Cadiz as an expat and a local, including my favorite ice cream shop and restaurants! Tour schedule: 1. Town Hall 2. El Populo (one of the oldest neighborhoods in Cádiz, known for its narrow, winding streets and historical significance) 3. The Sea Front (a unique perspective of Cadiz) 4. Cathedral 5. Candelaria Square (plenty of vegetation and parakeets!) 6. Flower Square (the flower market in Cadiz) 7. The Central Market (you can shop for all the fresh groceries and try amazing Spanish tapas here) 8. La Viña Neighbourhood (it´s the heart of Cadiz!) 9. “Best way to quickly see Cadiz! ”
I was short on time but had heard great things about Cadiz. Thanks to Yuan, I was able to really get a feel for it beyond just aimlessly walking around on my own. She offered history, depth of perspective, and also answered all of my questions about life as a local. She was communicative, kind, and incredibly helpful before, during and after the tour! She gave me recommendations for places to eat (and dishes to try) and was even helpful in helping me to navigate public transportation. She went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time in Cadiz, and honestly-- she is what made it super enjoyable! If you're a solo traveler -- trust me-- book this free tour! I feel like I have a new friend in Spain!

“Interesting tour through Cádiz ”
We really enjoyed the Free Tour of Old Town Cádiz with Yuanyuan. She gave us many interesting insights into the history of the city and also into everyday life in Cádiz today. The tour was well structured, easy to follow and very informative.
What we especially liked was that she answered our questions in detail and adapted the tour to our interests. It did not feel like a standard tour, but more personal and engaging.
We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand Cádiz better and discover more than just the main sights.

“Cadiz old town”
We had a fantastic walk with Yuan. Fortunate for us we had a one to one tour. She took us to many places that we would not have discovered ourselves. Yuan was very clear and informative about all the local history and culture. You will not regret your tour with Yuan, she is first class.
On a separate note, the local market is a must see. Fantastic fish and food display at its best. You really feel immersed in the local culture.
Cadiz is a great place to visit, with great beaches and restaurants. We will be back!!!

We really enjoyed our tour of Cádiz Old Town with Yuanyuan Fu.
She is friendly, personable and interesting.
Our short tour was just the right length, with plenty of interesting stops and information and information - but without too much detail that could make it boring.
Along the way she also gave us some great tips about places to go that we were able to put into practice afterwards.
We would recommend it!

“A tour for two!”
Although there were just two of us fo the tour, our guide never canceled and showed us around the town, showing some secret spots and truly hidden gems. We also had a great talk about Spanish culture and traditions. We would highly recommend Yuanyuan Fu to anyone who is interested to get to know Cadiz better.

“Fantastic personalised tour of Cadiz ”
We were met by our guide Yuanyuan at the agreed location just before the tour was due to start. We were shocked but thrilled to be the only attendees as it feel like a really personalised experience we got to learnt about the city, history, culture, people and see lots of interesting sites. Yuanyuan gave us lots of good recommendations for tapas and we were able to return to those places post tour. We got lots of lovely photos by Yuanyuan as on this trip we were only able to take selfies. Really enjoyed and loved this experience. 100% recommend but would advise don’t on your first day in Cadiz as we did it on our last and had so much more to see.

“Highlight of Cadiz!”
It was a pleasure to have Yuanyuan as a guide! She had a really unique perspective as an expat having lived in various European countries. Although you can technically do your own walking tour, due to the size of Cadiz, Yuanyuan provided a bit of history of the key sights AND local spots to eat which is invaluable! In addition to the personal touch of the tour, it was also nice to be in a smaller group. Thanks Yuanyuan!
