We'll meet at the Plaza de la Catedral, right in front of Almería's unique fortress-like cathedral. From here, we'll set off on a walking tour to discover the city.
We'll start by visiting the nearby Convent of the Purísima Concepción and the charming Plaza Campoamor.
From there, we'll head along Calle de la Reina, one of the oldest streets in the city, and continue down Calle Descanso, where the narrow, winding lanes still carry the essence of Almería's Arab past. We'll reach the gateway to the Alcazaba and walk along Calle Almanzor.
We'll pass through the Plaza Vieja, before visiting the Convent of the Poor Clares. We'll then stop at the lively Plaza de las Flores, where we'll find the John Lennon statue.
Next, we'll visit the Church of Santiago, before exploring the Spanish Civil War shelters, and finally, we'll wrap up this tour at Puerta de Purchena, one of Almería's main hubs, after exploring the city's history, culture, and most emblematic spots.
