Things to do Discover Oñati and Aranzazu Sanctuary from San Sebastián

Join us and enjoy a wonderful morning in the interior of Guipuzcoa. Oñati, recently named one of the best towns in the world for tourism according to UNWTO, will leave you impressed with its offer. Sancti Spiritus University is one of the most important attractions of Oñati, but it is not the only one; the church of San Miguel, the Bidaurreta monastery, Fueros and Santa Marina squares, or the palaces of Antia, Madinabeitia, and Baruekua will also catch your eye. Next, we will visit the Aranzazu sanctuary. According to legend, the Virgin appeared to a shepherd named Rodrigo de Balzategi on a thorn tree, and he, astonished, asked her: "Arantzan zu?" (You on a thorn tree?). During the following centuries, the Franciscan friars made Arantzazu a place of devotion and pilgrimage, and an exponent of art and culture. Throughout the tour, there will be half an hour for a brief lunch (the tour price does not include lunch) The tour will be conducted in bilingual (English and Spanish) so that our guides will speak both languages simultaneously.
