Hi Caesar, those who are going to come to you ...
Our local guide will wait for you in the Cathedral Square where the journey to the legacy of the Roman Lion will begin. In this area the old General Headquarters of the camp was located, a few meters away we will see (whenever possible) the Archaeological Crypt of Puerta Obispo with archaeological remains from the Thermal Baths and the Sinistra Gate that allowed the passage to the Legio VII gemina. We will go through the old Vía Principalis (current Calle Ancha), to get closer to the walls and see fragments of the old Aqueduct as it passes through Puerta Castillo (with a brief stop at the Jardines del Cid), where the soldiers' Barracks were located. We will continue our Free Tour visiting the remains of the wall in different areas (Calle Ruiz de Salazar, Plaza de San Isidoro, Calle Era del Moro, in refurbishment works for later access), to finish at the Interpretation Center of the Roman Lion, where you can see seven rooms (with a wide historical and archaeological heritage that our city houses) and a garden with the excavated remains of the old church of Santa Marina.
