Visit the heart of Ávila with our guided tours, get to know the most important monuments of Avila accompanied by an official guide.
At the indicated time we will meet next to the door of San Vicente, one of the access entrances to the historic center of Ávila. From this point, we will begin to admire the famous wall of this World Heritage city. Do you want to know its history?
Walking along the wall we will arrive at the Cathedral of Ávila. Did you know that it is considered the first Gothic seo in Spain? We will go around the outside of the temple to comment on some curiosities of its façade that, on occasions, will remind you more of a fortress than a place of worship.
The free tour will take us to the Plaza Mayor, also known as the Mercado Chico square. Here we will find the Town Hall and, very close, the church of San Juan Bautista and some very representative palaces. You will not stop taking photos!
We will arrive at the Santa Teresa convent, one of the most emblematic places in Ávila. While we glimpse its exterior, we will talk about the importance of the legacy of Saint Teresa of Jesus and her order: the Discalced Carmelites.
After a pleasant walk of an hour and a half we will finish the free tour of Ávila in the Plaza Grande.
