The focus was on the recent transformation of Bilbao following the decline in the steel and shipbuilding industries, with the deliberate appointment of internationally renowned architects — Gehry ‘s muli winged metallic modern art museum being a highlight—changing the image and the purpose of the city’s waterfront. The guide added interest to the tour including information on projects that almost fell apart, Calatrava’s bridge being a case in point. Altogether an interesting and an honest tour .

Llevaba varios días yendo a Bilbao dando vueltas como pollo sin cabeza, me apunte al free tour y me alegro mucho de haberlo hecho, lo k he visto ya lo había visto, pero sin saber lo k era y lo k representa. “Great tour”
I had a great time on my tour with Stephane! I was staying in the old tour and this was my first time exploring anything in the modern area of the city so I really appreciated hearing about the history and architecture of the modern city. The additional information about Aste Nagusia was also very helpful to get a local perspective on the events. My only mild complaint is there were a few things that were explained before we walked past them and it would have been helpful to briefly stop and point them out or have a moment to look at them before walking on to our next stop.

“Excelente guía. Visita muy amena en ambiente inmejorable”
Jorge, el guía, está atento a todo el grupo (que era muy numeroso) y se implica para que estemos cómodos e interesados durante toda la visita. También tiene en cuenta la climatología buscando sitios donde resguardarse del sol (era verano) para dar las explicaciones más largas. Tiene muchísimos ejemplos simpáticos y graciosos que ayudan a meterte en la historia de la ciudad. Incluso sabe desenvolverse cuando algún "turista informado" le hace correcciones o lo intenta. Mil gracias a Jorge y me consta que Íñigo, el guía del grupo inglés, también hizo un gran trabajo. Repetiría sin dudarlo con ellos.
