Things to do Monumental Tour of Úbeda: Guided Tour & Admission to Monuments

Our tour will begin at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where we’ll give you an introduction to the city of Úbeda. We’ll head to the Plaza Vázquez de Molina, the square for which Úbeda was designated a World Heritage Site in 2003. There, we’ll marvel at the monumental complex and learn about the history of Francisco de los Cobos, who was a true patron of the arts in the city. We’ll visit many palaces, such as the Juan Vázquez de Molina Palace and the Deán Ortega Palace, which is now a Parador hotel. We’ll visit the Sacred Chapel of El Salvador and the Basilica of Santa María, where we’ll discover their history and the marvelous architecture that makes them so special. After exploring these sites, we’ll head to Plaza 1º de Mayo, one of the city’s most beautiful squares. There we’ll find the Church of San Pablo, the only building in Úbeda that offers a glimpse of Romanesque architecture—a style so rare in this part of Andalusia.
