Join us to uncover the secrets of Toledo's historic center. Don’t get lost in its labyrinth, and explore the city's iconic sites with our expert guide. Discover Toledo's hidden gems on our Free Tour!
The Free Tour begins in Plaza de Zocodover, the quintessential Toledo square and the heart where the history of the city beats. Yes, it has a rather peculiar name. Do you want to know why it is called that? We take you to the Alcázar, the Muslim palace-fortress later inhabited by medieval kings and reformed by Carlos V to turn it into his imperial palace. In the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the imposing Primate Cathedral of Spain stands out, popularly known as Dives Toletana, one of the most beautiful jewels of European Gothic. The famous "Gorda" of Toledo is located there. The route ends in the evocative and picturesque Jewish quarter, where the most important Jewish community in Castile lived until the end of the 15th century. Without a doubt, this is the best area to wander around and soak up the essence of Toledo. Did you know that in Toledo, two of the five medieval synagogues in Spain were preserved? A minimum of 5 participants is required to carry out the tour, and a maximum of 6 people are admitted per group reservation of friends or family. If two different reservations are made, the reservations will be canceled in advance or at the meeting point.
