Tour through the most emblematic streets and monuments of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. We will explore the streets of the center and the old town of the Villa, and discover the importance that this fishing village has had in the history of Spain.
The start of tour will begin in the "Barrio Bajo", starting at the Plaza del Cabildo, continuing through Plaza de San Roque, Trascuesta, Mercado de Abastos, and Covachas to go up to the "Barrio Alto" having left behind central streets of churches and convents. At the end of the climb up the most historic slope of the town, we will be greeted by the imposing Palace of Orleans (Current Town Hall), from there to the Ducal Palace of Medina Sidonia and the Parroquia de la O; To finish the tour through the upper part of the city, we will arrive at one of the oldest constructions still in use, the Castillo de Santiago (15th century), passing through emblematic streets with its Manzanillas wineries. We will return to the "Barrio Bajo" of our town, arriving at the Church of Santo Domingo, the largest in size in the town and built entirely in stone. At this point, I will give the option to end the visit for those who wish and continue to the Church of San Francisco as an extension for those who wish to stay. The tour will last approximately 1:30-2:00. Tickets or visits to the interior of the monuments of a private nature are not included.
