Parque del Oeste Free Tour

Did you know that this was the first public park to be created in Madrid? It was opened to the public in 1905. It is located in the Argüelles neighborhood, in the eastern part of the city.

It is a tour in which statues from different eras, an Egyptian temple, curiosities, vestiges of the civil war, unique green areas and spectacular views are mixed.

Because it was the front line in the civil war, some aspects of the subject will be mentioned, as well as the history of many heroes of the 19th and 20th centuries, it is curious, right? It is also called the park of the rebels.

Similarly, it is the only park in Madrid that has an original Egyptian temple! You know why?

We will start the tour next to the in Moncloa, we will cross the Parque del Oeste until we reach the temple of Debod.

Take note:

It is a tour in which you will walk along the west park with an end at the Debod temple, it is approximately 5 kilometers on foot. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility, includes some slopes and steps.

It does not include the visit to the temple of Debod.

It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes and it is advisable to bring a bottle of water.

In case of rainy days it is very possible that the tour will not leave, since everything gets muddy, it is recommended in those cases to have an alternative plan.
