We'll meet at the Gijón marina, where the famous "Letronas" that show the city's name can be seen. As we walk along the waterside, we'll learn more about the different historical periods of this place. Did you know that its streets are home to important Roman ruins? As we head into the old town of Gijón, we'll stop in front of the Revillagigedo Palace. Next to the statue that crowns the square, we'll unveil the importance of the figure of Don Pelayo for Gijón and the ancient kingdom of Asturias. Strolling through the Cimadevilla area, you'll discover Gijón's seafaring and fishing traditions. We'll also take the opportunity to walk along the San Lorenzo beach until we reach the Wall. Did you know that this long avenue connects the two ends of the city center? After crossing the Wall, we'll arrive at the Birthplace of Jovellanos, the illustrious writer from Gijón who developed a whole urban plan to improve his hometown. The last stop on our private tour will be the Plaza Mayor of Gijón, where we'll delight our palate with a cider poured in the purest Asturian style. Cheers!
