Feel the magic of Soria in a unique tour through its historic center. Among palaces, Romanesque churches and the verses of Machado, discover a city where every stone tells a story. An authentic walk from the Olivo to the Alameda.
In this fascinating tour through the old town of Soria we will walk through the streets of this small city full of history, poetry and charm. We will begin our tour in the central Plaza del Olivo where, little by little, we will go into the heart of the city to explain its medieval past by the hand of the two jewels of the Soria Romanesque: the churches of Santo Domingo, with its imposing front known as "The Bible in Stone", and San Juan de Rabanera, with its magnificent apse. We will also visit the Plaza Mayor, cradle of Soria's institutions since the sixteenth century and travel to the sixteenth century, a period of great splendor and economic wealth in the city. Proof of this are the Renaissance palaces preserved in the Aduana Vieja street and the greatest wonder of Soria's civil architecture: the Palace of the Counts of Gómara. We will also visit some of the places that inspired Antonio Machado in the city where he spent his happiest years and met the love of his life, as well as the Institute where he taught. We will finish our visit in the Alameda de Cervantes Park, next to the famous music tree.
