Things to do Free Tour: Monumental Seville from the Metropol-Parasol
We begin our visit at the Metropol-Parasol, known as Las Setas, an avant-garde structure with unique views of the historic center. We continue to the Iglesia del Salvador, a baroque jewel erected on the site of a former mosque. In the nearby Plaza Nueva, we admire the Town Hall, with its elegant Renaissance facade. The route leads us to the Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, which houses artistic treasures and the tomb of Columbus. Next to it rises the Giralda, an Almohad minaret transformed into a bell tower, from where the whole city can be seen.
We entered the Royal Alcazar, palace of kings, with lavish halls and gardens. In front of it, the Archivo de Indias preserves key documents of American history. We walk to the majestic Hotel Alfonso XIII, a symbol of Sevillian elegance, and to the Old Tobacco Factory, today a university campus and stage for the opera Carmen. The visit concludes at the legacy of the Exposition of 1929, with regional pavilions, and the monumental Plaza de España, an icon of Seville.

“Boring - guide Ramon”
Guide Ramon was not friendly or interested. He looked annoyed that he had to be there. Although we were the only ones joining, he waited 10 more minutes before starting while just looking at his phone. The first explanation wasn’t really clear. We stopped the tour after 10 minutes and just walked the city by ourselves.
