Join this tour of Logroño and discover its Riojan soul among history, wine, and flavors. Walk through the old town, cross the Stone Bridge, and enjoy the famous pinchos of Laurel Street. You'll love it!
Welcome to Logroño, capital of La Rioja and key point of the Camino de Santiago. We start in the Plaza del Mercado, the heart of the old town, presided over by the Co-cathedral of La Redonda, with its baroque towers and a painting attributed to Michelangelo. We continue to the church of San Bartolomé, the oldest in the city, with an impressive Gothic façade.
A few steps away, Santa Maria de Palacio surprises us with its pyramidal spire. We cross the Stone Bridge, symbol of the Camino, towards the church of Santiago, where the image of the Pilgrim Apostle stands out. On the way back, we visit the Cubo del Revellín, the remains of the 16th-century defensive wall. Nearby is the Museum of La Rioja, with art and regional heritage. We pause at the historic Café Moderno, a cultural meeting place. We stroll through the Espolón, an elegant nineteenth-century garden, and close the visit at the Co-cathedral, a true emblem of the city. A route full of history, faith, and life in La Rioja.
