We will start the tour next to the picturesque hermitage of San Roque to discover Lastres, one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of Spain". From its viewpoint, the so-called "Costa de los Dinosaurios" will welcome us with its bay of crystal clear waters located under the imposing Sierra del Sueve.
We will continue to the church of Santa María de Sabada, declared of Cultural Interest, where we will talk about the Asturian and Roman legacy of the place, as well as the importance of its port, one of the richest in Asturias after the Middle Ages. Then we will visit the House of Doctor Mateo, scene of the popular TV series, to understand how this town full of noble houses and baroque palaces has been shaped.
The walk will continue through emblematic places such as the laundry, the fountain of La Regallina or the Clock Tower, while we discover the role of women through trades that are still preserved, such as the rowers or canneries; besides immersing ourselves in the whaling and seafaring tradition. We will finish by delving into the gastronomy and local folklore of Lastres, while we face a beautiful view of the port and its famous restaurants.
