Things to do Jaca "Ruta Endemoniada" Free Tour

The Route of the Possessed Women of Jaca is a cultural tourist route in Jaca that commemorates the events of the witch hunts in the Aragonese Pyrenees and the Route of the Possessed Women of Santa Orosia. This isn’t your typical tour, as we’ll be exploring the most mysterious aspects of the Pyrenees in Jaca, the capital of the Kingdom of Aragon. The tour begins at the Witch House to introduce us to the most ancient traditions, myths, and legends on a journey through the historic district that starts with its oldest and most magical myth: “Santa Orosia,” patron saint of the mountains of Jaca and of the “Endemoniadas.” A tour inspired by the book by Carmen de Burgos, “Colombine,” and by Carlos Garcés, in which we’ll shed light on a subject as dark as it is mysterious: witches and the “endemoniadas.”
