Then we’ll enter the old town with its beautiful architecture and visit the Church of the Apple Trees. A must-see is the Parador Castle of Emperor Charles V, which offers a marvelous view of the Atlantic Ocean. We’ll head down to the Marina district along the river, where you’ll learn about the Basque cross—a blend of Christian and pagan elements from Mother Earth.
