Vigo by Night Free Walking Tour

Guided walking tour at sunset through the streets of downtown Vigo. This visit focuses on pirates and sailors as the axis of the visit, which will also touch on other topics related to the Vigo night. This visit is complementary to the free tour of Vigo by day.

The visit begins at the central Porta do Sol, where the famous Sireno will welcome us and will serve as the starting point for our stories related to overseas stories. And is because Vigo is a city by and for the sea, and this means that it has been attacked from the Atlantic Ocean itself by many peoples and civilizations that have left their mark on the city: Vikings, Englishmen, Turks... We will talk about all these civilizations and how the city of Vigo has evolved over the centuries, crossing the histories of all these towns with that of the people of Vigo themselves.

The tour goes up to the walls of the old castle of San Sebastián, represented in the city's coat of arms and which has one of the best sunset views of the entire Vigo estuary. In addition, the cobbled streets of the old city of Vigo will reveal many stories of the city.

We will also explore some of the Galician legends related to the sea, always so closely related to Galician culture. And of course, we will talk about pirates and corsairs, from the famous Francis Drake to our local, Benito Soto.
