Discover Pamplona on an unforgettable guided tour! Learn about the history of Navarre’s capital, stroll through its beautiful green spaces, and treat your taste buds to a tasting of four exquisite local wines.
We’ll begin our tour with a historical introduction to the city of Pamplona, and what better place to do so than where the city’s first settlers gathered: next to the Cathedral. We’ll take a look at its façade and explore its rich history, encouraging you to visit the interior (not included in this tour). We’ll walk along the city walls, passing by special spots like the Rincón del Caballo Blanco, until we reach the Portal de Francia, which is the pilgrims’ entrance to our city. It won’t be hard to spot a pilgrim on their way to Santiago de Compostela! We’ll head to the Palace of the Kings of Navarre, now the Navarre Archives; there, if possible, we’ll see a model of our city to understand the layout of the medieval quarters and the urban planning of Pamplona’s Historic District. We’ll continue on to City Hall, which, in addition to its beauty, is known as the site where the Txupinazo is launched during the San Fermín festival every July 6. And so, little by little, we’ll make our way to one of Spain’s oldest wine bars to enjoy a tasting of four wines from Navarre.
