We’ll be starting the walking tour in the heart of the city, by the Cathedral, near the statue of Alfonso II. We’ll explore its medieval streets, discovering their past and present and meeting some characters on the way. We will discover the importance of Oviedo as a market city. We will leave the old town and its medieval streets behind bit by bit while talking about some of the most important festivities and events that take place here. Finally, we will finish in the heart of the modern city, where most of the shops in Oviedo are located. Our last stop will be a church that has quite a few secrets to reveal. The duration of the tour is around 2 to 2:30 hours in total. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing. Come with me on a tour through the history of this medieval city that has been the capital of the beautiful region of Asturias since nearly its very inception!
